Larry Mendte Biography

Larry Mendte is an American news anchor, commentator, and radio talk show host. He is presently hosting three TV shows, Jersey Matters, Another Thing with Larry Mendte, and The Delaware Way. Furthermore, he also hosts The Larry Mendte Show on WABC (AM) in New York. Mendte composed and delivered nightly commentaries at WPIX in New York City which was largely at TV stations across the country.

He resumed reporting and supplying the commentaries on “Another Thing with Larry Mendte,” which circulates in the New York and Philadelphia TV markets. He was the first male host of the American syndicated television show Access Hollywood.

He was the lead anchor of the 6 pm and 11 pm newscasts for KYW-TV (Channel 3), the CBS O&O in Philadelphia. After almost two decades in last place, Mendte directed the station to compete with first place WPVI-TV (Channel 6). KYW enticed Mendte away from WCAU-TV (Channel 10), where he had docked the 4, 6, and 11 pm newscasts and led the station to win news ratings in some time slots for the first time in 30 years.

Mendte was the co-anchor of the evening news broadcast with Alycia Lane. However, it was revealed that Mendte had been accessing Lane’s personal email account without her permission and leaking information to the media. Mendte eventually pleaded guilty to charges of unauthorized access to a protected computer and was sentenced to house arrest and probation.

The incident caused a major scandal in the Philadelphia media industry and tarnished Mendte’s reputation. However, he has since returned to journalism and is currently working as a talk show host and commentator.
