Back in January, Jeremy Calvert and Brooke Wehr broke up after indicating on social media that they’d been having problems for months.
Amazingly, the Teen Mom 2 star got back together with his fiancee just a few weeks later … only to call it quits again shortly thereafter.
Why? Grab a hat and hold the f–k onto it …
This time, to hear Brooke tell it, the problem was that Jeremy had cheated on her with one of the Teen Mom 2 producers, Mandi Venturino.
As if that weren’t scandalous enough, these days, there are fans who believe Jeremy’s infidelity was more rampant than Brooke realized:
He was also cheating on Wehr with Leah Messer.
Granted, that has not been confirmed, and frankly, the allegation that Jeremy was cheating with his ex-wife is a bit of a reach at best.
But that doesn’t mean Leah didn’t play a role, albeit indirectly, in the demise of Calvert and Wehr, as Jeremy himself is finally admitting.
A big part of the reason he decided to call it quits with Wehr is because of his relationship with the most important female in his life:
Not Leah, but his daughter, Adalynn “Addie” Faith.
Wehr had previously been accused by fans of preventing Calvert from his seeing his daughter, and now he says that this rumor was true.
And then some. In fact, if you believe Jeremy’s side of the story, the whole situation was even worse than fans had previously thought.
Jeremy posted a photo of his daughter on Instagram, along with a caption lambasting Wehr for her jealous, controlling ways.
Specifically, Calvert claims there were times when Brooke wouldn’t even allow him to receive photos of Addie from Leah.
“When [your] ex-wife sends you pics of [your] child…now [a] days that’s not allowed if [you’re] dating someone,” Calvert wrote.
He added in this (now-deleted, of course) post:
“I feel horrible, I should have pulled my head out of my ass and stood up for myself and my child. But [thank] God I did before it was [too] late to do so."
"Addie will always come before any woman I settle down with from now on. She will be there for me when others won’t be.”
Fans who watch Teen Mom 2 online will recall that last season featured several instances in which Leah was brought to tears by Calvert.
Not at the fact that she wasn’t with him (though she arguably pined for that too), but by his apparent neglect of his daughter.
Now, it appears he’s acknowledging that Leah was in the right, but that he was responding to pressure from his fiancee.
Brooke Wehr: Who is Jeremy Calvert’s Fiancee?
VIEW GALLERYWe suppose it’s an encouraging sign that he accepts blame, and admits his willingness to allow Brooke to exert such power over him.
Still, this drama smacks of finger-pointing; Jeremy lashing out publicly at those who upset him – a frequent occurrence – never looks good.
At the end of the day, the best indication of how sincere he is in his desire to be a bigger part of his daughter’s life will be what happens next.
Now that he’s free of Wehr’s influence – a decision, and place, that could not have been easy to arrive at – he has promises to deliver on.
The hard part really begins now.
