Congratulations to Christy McGinity!
The Little People: LA star is pregnant at 42-years-old and she couldn’t be happier.
Radar Online recently confirmed the big news and revealed that McGinity is expecting the baby with her new boyfriend Gonzo Carazo.
Now is really the perfect time for Christy to be entering this new chapter in her life because it comes right after the reality star’s annulment from her estranged husband Todd Gibel.
And she’s got her new beau right by her side supporting her!
"This will be a new experience," Carazo told Radar in an interview.
"I never thought because of her age that Christy could get pregnant again. I was speechless at first, quiet."
I didn’t know how to react," he continued. "Eventually I got excited about this new journey in my life."
When a woman gets pregnant in their 40s, it’s usually safe to say that wasn’t on their to-do list (menopause probably was) — but yes, it can still very much happen.
We’re glad Carazo was able to come to terms with that.
"My stomach was in knots as it was a lot to take in. Overall, I’m happy because I love Christy!" he said.
A source close to the couple shared that Christy is "two months" in on her pregnancy journey, and while it definitely "came as a surprise", they’re viewing it as "the biggest blessing."
And luckily this baby will be surrounded by nothing but love and support!
"They have a great support group and Christy’s daughter, Autumn Taylor, is so overjoyed and can’t wait to help her mom and best friend through this," shared the insider.
Behind the happy news, however, Christy is still battling against her abusive ex Todd, who is asking for a divorce and for the court to terminate her ability to be awarded support from him.
On June 21 she filed for an annulment from Todd, as reported by Radar.
She also filed for a Domestic Violence Prevention Order on May 9, 2019, which was granted after she accused him of making derogatory remarks toward her, blackmailing her, and for ripping up her mail.
The new order also protects her daughter, who is from a previous relationship.
Christy claimed that Todd "has always had a volatile temper throughout the marriage" and that it came to an "all-time high" when she would bring up wanting a divorce.
Todd is currently ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from Christy and Autumn, and hopefully, their divorce will soon be finalized so they can erase Todd from their lives for good.
Christy does not need that kind of stress and negativity right now!
